It’s All Good

Think back to when you were young. It’s a Saturday. You would wake up and think, what a great day; no school and you get to go over to Johnny’s house and play all day.

His house was great. He had a swimming pool in the backyard, all the latest video games, tons of food in the fridge. He loved to play sports as much as you did. The two of you would talk and laugh all day. It was going to be a great day…guaranteed. You could hardly wait to get out of bed and get dressed and run over there.

The same is true with God. Scripture tells us:

Psalm 118:24

24 The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.

What does a day look like that God made? What comes to your mind?

God has all the creativity, resources, power, and strength to do what He wants this day.

One thing we must take into consideration is that, God can do only good. Nothing can come from Him that is not good for us or Him.

We, on the other hand, can create very little and have limited access to resources, power, and strength and at best, can randomly do good. Our sinful nature will play tricks on us and let us think we are doing good, when in our hearts we know our selfishness, fear, pride, greed, insecurity, and ego are what’s driving us.

So, God asks us to come to His house today and play, to join Him in what He planned to do. He guarantees it will be good. He says leave all your stuff at home and come on over. Just bring yourself. He has everything else covered! It’s Saturday every day at His house.

Here is what you will get by hanging with God.

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Furthermore, it is impossible to know what the day will truly be for.

1 Corinthians 2:9

However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[a]
the things God has prepared for those who love him—

So, get up, get dressed, and head on over to God’s house today and join Him in what He is doing. It’s all Good! Guaranteed!
