Not to Be Judged

John 12:47

If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

Jesus didn’t come to judge us. We have already been judged ever since the fall.

We were judged and found guilty of our sins and separated from God as a result.

Sin entered into our lives at the fall, which has ever since served as the litmus test to our souls.

What we needed was a savior. How else were we ever going to be reunited with God? God knew that no matter how hard we tried, we could not defeat sin on our own.

Jesus is our only way back.

Jesus died for all our sins past, present, and future. I have been made clean again ready to be presented before God when that day comes. I will stand at the gates not to be judged, but to be loved by God, because it was God who gave His only son to die for me. Why would God turn from me? No. He will embrace me with love and a smile, knowing His plan of redemption worked. He was longing for the day His children come back home to Him.

I too, long to see God. Yet until that time, I get to be with Him in spirit. He asks me to do His will and work on this earth by loving His children and sharing the good news.

Today as I work, I am to serve.
