Psalms 139:4
4 Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.
Why does the Lord know what we speak before we say it? It’s because He knows the condition of our hearts. He knows that if it is filled with love, words of kindness, encouragement, empathy will be voiced. Yet if the heart is angry, resentful, prideful, words of like kind will also come out.
Luke 6:45
45The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
God is always concerned about our heart and is trying to transform it to express love but knows first that we must trust Him with it.
If the saying goes, hurting people hurt people so then, loving people love people. This is the goal of God’s work in us and through us.
Take a moment and assess your heart and see what condition it is in. If it is hurting, then be cautious how you speak to others. On the other hand, if it is at peace and filled with love, then, go about your day sharing freely the love you are experiencing.
