During my quiet time this morning, I reflected on ACTS, an acronym for Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication.
In thinking about how I adore God, I said, “God is beautiful.” That got me thinking about how he is beautiful and began to list the ways.
His creation is amazingly beautiful, from the sunrise to the sunset, from mountains to the vast seas, from the spider to the whale, from blue to all the colors in the rainbow, from a flower to the oak tree. His creation of mankind is beautiful, and that got me thinking about how beautiful it is when a person is doing what is right.
They will feel healthy when they take care of their bodies.
They will feel creative when they slow down and observe their surroundings.
They will feel compassion toward others when they give, and their hearts will melt.
They will feel strong when they stand up for what is right.
They will feel loved when they show love.
They will feel embraced by a holy God when they worship Him.
They will feel peace when they follow His ways.
They will not be anxious about anything when they are still before God.
They will live in great expectation for each day filled with a joy.
They will make great friends when they give of themselves.
They will feel affirmed by God when they serve others.
They will not feel worry when they learn to trust God.
They will always have enough when they find God to be sufficient.
They will not experience fear but rather peace, courage, and strength when they let God be their source.
They will have wisdom and discernment when they seek God’s advice.
They will find laughter, pure joy, excitement, fun, and happiness in the ways of God.
They will find passion as they are used by God.
This life is available to us every single day — including today, right now!
We don’t have to wait until we are in heaven to experience life in this way. It can be heaven on earth if we just decide to do things God’s way.
