Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
How much comfort is love amid trials and suffering?
What is it that you seek in times of need?
If you are facing deep physical or emotional pain yet you know you are unconditionally loved by the creator of the universe; will that bring relief?
The question is, how do you perceive love and the love that comes with it?
Is it possible to truly love a person and not provide for them?
Where is the line drawn when people call for tough love?
Does the issue lie with the giver or receiver of love?
Is tough love only needed to drive a person to humility?
Is pure love only found in humility?
Imagine for yourself that you are at a point of great need and you seek God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and He answers you by saying, “Dear one, I want you to know that nothing will separate my love for you.” And that’s it. Nothing more!
How are you feeling at that moment?
Are you at peace or are you wanting of something more?
Are you thinking love is great, but right now I need help?
Remember you are with God, the almighty creator, healer, comforter.
Can pure love drown out all the feelings of pain and suffering?
There you sit with the arms of our Lord and savior wrapped around you in the most amazing love ever experienced. The circumstance or physical pain has not changed, but for that moment you find that God sized love is bringing you to a place where those things don’t seem to matter.
What just happened?
Where did my request for healing or resolution go?
When we strip away expectations out of love, we are left with pure love. Pure love has the ability to bring you to the place where you see God.
Matthew 5:8
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
