Sinner, Not ME!

The sad thing is that many of us come to Christ because we are sinners, and then spend the rest of our lives trying to prove that we are not! We try to hide who we really are.

Book. Changes that heal.

I find this statement to be so true. It’s so hard to accept that I am and always will be a sinner.

I continue to think that I can be without sin. Because I constantly sin, this gives way for Satan to constantly remind me of my sins and tell me I’m unworthy of God’s love.

Jesus, on the other hand, says that while I was a sinner he came and died for my sins once and for all.  Not just the sins I had committed but the ones I will commit today and each day in the future.

All he asks is that we accept his love that he expressed on the cross. To allow him into our life to guide us until we die when we will be with him.

Our life until then will be filled with his truth and grace as he slowly molds and shapes us, never expecting perfection but enjoying the process.

We are to walk with our head up, eyes focused on Jesus, a heart filled with joy and a spirit of expectation. We are to face each day one moment at a time and awake the next day knowing his mercies are new each morning and that he will never leave us.

Hi, my name is Rich, and I am a sinner who has been forgiven and is made in the image of God and who is free to live life in all its fullness.
