You will be saved!
What powerful four words.
Forgive me Lord for rushing over these words as if they had no meaning. This phrase should have the ability to stop me, bring me to my knees, and bow down in true gratefulness, humility, and freedom. I need to go no farther than these words for in them, all of life has been turned upside down. I can stay in these words forever contemplating what the implications are.
You will be saved.
Rescued, comforted, completed, freed, forgiven, feel peaceful, , rested, invested, treasured, purposeful.
You will be brought to the foot of the cross. Being there will cause you to reflect on the price Jesus paid and the sacrifice God put forth just to be able to say those four words.
The thought, the strategy, the planning, the sacrifice, the suffering, the risk, the trust, the love, the desire, the obedience, the pain, the focus, the determination, all that it took just to be able to be able to say those four words. You will be saved.
How then can life go on being the same? How can I not want to share this good news?
These four words will permeate every ounce of my being. They will change my every thought, every action, every emotion, every sense. Everything I see or hear or do will now have a new meaning.
What is beautiful is I don’t have to move on and leave these words behind as if in a memory. I can take these words with me wherever I go.
